Garytoons!

Ahh, the Amazing Zitman……….

Well, the Zitman’s origins go back almost as far as WonderBrat’s… I created him when I was a kid, and he was inspired by my oldest brother Mike, who was known to have a zit or two in his day.

I became a “zitman” myself in my teens, but you can only have one zit-powered superhero per comic strip, as a general rule…

And since I brought back WonderBrat for Hamster Tails, it only made sense to bring back his good crime-fighting buddy.  And Zitman was too good a character to not use again!

He’s a little like Jimmy, in that he’s not the brightest bulb, but he means well.  In this webcomic, his alter-ego is the kids’ teacher, Mr. Whittle, who’s also loosely inspired by my brother Mike.

I’ve got some vintage Zitman cartoons in my desk that I’m sure I’ll pull out and display here at some point… stay tuned!
